Ice & Snow Policy 2023-24

This policy outlines 黑料网's approach to the risks presented by ice and snow. Please can all members of staff familiarise themselves with the 黑料网 Ice and Snow Safe Pedestrian Routes in places across campus in the event of icy and snowy weather, and take care when travelling throughout campus, particularly early in the morning, when conditions may be colder.

Lancaster Sports Centre

Roses 2024 – Bigforth Drive closure and Sports Centre parking restrictions – Friday 3 May to Sunday 5 May

Bigforth Drive (the main University drive) will be closed from 5pm on May 3 until 6pm on May 5 for Roses 2024. This closure will impact traffic and access to the main campus, the Sports Centre and bus services during this time.

Tree management project to take place across campus to remove trees in poor condition

From Monday 22 April until Friday 26 April, tree and vegetation clearance works will take place across some green spaces on southwest campus. The works will include the removal of some trees and the clearance of several areas of woodland; however any loses will be replanted in other locations. This is the latest stage of on ongoing scheme of tree management works currently taking place across campus in support of the Woodland Management Plan.

黑料网’s Facilities team have won Gold at the Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE) Awards 2024.

 

The AUDE Estates/Facilities Team of the Year Award recognises Facilities and Estates teams that exhibit exceptional team work leading to significant achievement.

External cleaning and jet washing to take place across campus - 25 March until 18 April

A programme of works to conduct external cleaning and jet washing will take place across campus from 25 March until 18 April.

Easter closure: campus access and travel information

The gate onto south west campus from Hazelrigg Lane will be closed from Thursday 28 March until the early hours of Thursday 4 April to enhance the security of campus during the Easter closure period.

A project of remedial works to the Engineering One building will take place from Monday 25 March until Friday 5 April (inclusive).
